Craving something tasty even though you’re deep into the fitness game? Fear not! There is a super-easy, foolproof alternative to the calorie-laden mug cakes that you see on social media. This cake is great for a post-workout treat or even a midnight snack, as it contains high digesting protein and fiber to help keep you full!


2/3 Cup (52 grams) of a complete pancake mix

One and a half scoops of a Milk Protein Smooth or Casein Protein Powder (You can use any flavor)

2 tablespoons (16 grams) of coconut flour

Anything else you would want in the cake e.g. Chocolate chips, Peanut Butter, yogurt. But remember the more of these sort of things the more you’ll be playing around with the macros


 1. Put the dry ingredents into a bowl or mug that can hold the cake

 2. Put in water gradually, mixing in until it creates a batter-like consistency.

 3. Microwave the batter for 4-6 minutes, depending on the power of your microwave

 4. Take it out, let it cool and top it with whatever you would like! Then eat!

Calories: 399       Protein: 39 g          Fat: 3 g          Carbs: 50 g
