Everyone loves to nibble on the classic Oreo Ball at family dinners around the holidays, but how many do we end up “nibbling” on before we’ve consumed our total daily amount of calories, sugar, fat..?!
Here is a healthier version of these delicious treats for you to enjoy a little more guilt-free this year!
Peppermint Oreo Ball Ingredients
- 1 pkg fat free cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1 pkg instant cookies and cream pudding
- 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla Impact Whey Protein
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 4 mini crushed candy canes
- 4 mini crushed candy canes (to top with)
- 1 pkg dark chocolate chips
Peppermint Oreo Ball Recipe
With a hand mixer, mix cream cheese in large bowl until whipped consistency.
Mix in the pudding mix, protein powder, extract, and 4 mini crushed candy canes.
Roll into walnut-sized balls, place on cookie sheet, and put in freezer for 15-30 minutes.
You can double-boil, or microwave the chocolate chips to melt them.
If microwaving, do not over-cook – the chocolate will thicken!
Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring consistently until melted.
Roll frozen Oreo ball in melted chocolate, top with a few crushed pieces of candycane, then set to the side on wax paper.
Repeat with rest of Oreo balls, allow to dry 5 minutes, place in refrigerator 10 min to cool.
Once cooled, put in a sealed container.
