A Week On The Internet | World’s Oldest Powerlifter & The Home Gym Of Our Dreams

Another week, another internet compilation. Never miss a viral post from the world of sports, fitness, and nutrition again.

Gone are the days of endless scrolling to see the good stuff – we have it all in one place. You can thank us later.

Skipping into the weekend like…

You might’ve mastered the double under, but Akash has taken it a few steps further with his five times rope rotation. In the sky. Our lockdown skipping hobby didn’t quite stretch to his level of skill.

Qualifier to winner

After three short weeks, Emma Radacanu won The Women’s US Open. In 10 games Emma didn’t drop a set. All of this at the age of 18.

Emma has become the first British woman to win a grand slam since 1977. Just amazing.

From the tennis court to the red carpet

If we had known all those years ago that playing tennis could get us to the Met Gala then we might’ve asked for lessons.

But having seen what they got given for their meal, we might’ve had to take a rain check because it definitely doesn’t contain the macros we need.

Fine line between danger and injury

We say this every week… don’t try this at home.

Mohammad managed to master a pretty impressive press up without so much as a wobble, but that doesn’t mean you need to try it.

Strongest eight-year old?

Rory van Ulft has become a weightlifting sensation at the age of seven. She has become the youngest ever USA weightlifting Youth National Champion.

Having just turned eight, here she is deadlifting 90kg. We think she should hit the gym with Eddie Hall.

Your standard partner workout

Farah Fonseca and Woj have just upped the game for partner workouts – this could be one for you to try with your gym buddies. Although, on second thought, we suddenly don’t have any friends…

The home gym of our dreams

We often find us asking ourselves how we can be like Eddie Hall. Unfortunately, this dream just became slightly more unobtainable since our home gym includes a yoga mat on our living room floor, we definitely don’t have a sauna.

World’s oldest power lifter

Edith Murway-Traina has found internet fame in the last week after becoming the World’s Oldest Powerlifter. She was 99 when she received the record and has since turned 100!

Edith can deadlift 165lbs and bench press 65lbs and she is now training to compete in November.
