Fall may be over but that doesn't mean we have to give up our favorite fall flavors just yet. These Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls by @lift_withlex make for the perfect pick-me-up after a day out in the cold.
They're warm and fluffy, plus will keep you on track with your nutrition goals. Let's check out the recipe.
Ingredients
- Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls:
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1/2 scoop Myprotein Gingerbread Impact Whey protein
- sprinkle of cinnamon
- sprinkle of granulated sugar
- spritz of butter spray
- For the Icing:
- powdered sugar to taste
- almond milk to taste
- 1/2 scoop Myprotein Gingerbread Impact Whey protein
Instructions
Mix the flour, 1/2 scoop of Myprotein Gingerbread Impact Whey, and Greek yogurt to create a dough.
Roll the dough flat using a rolling pin until even.
Spray the surface of the flattened dough with butter spray and then sprinkle the cinnamon and granulated sugar.
Roll the dough into a log, then cut into 1-inch pieces.
Place into a baking tray and bake at 350F for 12 minutes.
For the icing, mix 1/2 scoop of protein powder with powdered sugar in a small bowl. Add almond milk while stirring. Add enough to create a smooth consistency.
Assemble the warm cinnamon rolls on a plate and drizzle with icing. Enjoy!
