Protein Hot Chocolate 2 Ways

These delicious chocolate drinks are here to make winter weather more bearable.

You’re never too old to enjoy a steaming mug of rich, chocolatey goodness. That’s a fact. And just because you’re sticking to a training regime over the winter months or monitoring your macros, doesn’t mean you have to miss out. Thanks to these incredible high-protein options, you can sip on an indulgent-tasting treat that reminds you of your childhood, while topping up your protein targets – now, that’s what we call the best of both words.

We’ve teamed up with @kirstyfletcher to give you two delightful winter drinks. Whether you need something to warm you from within on a cold evening, or a chilled festive refreshment for post-workouts, we’ve got you covered.

They’re even better when shared with friends, so why not invite your gym buddy round for a well-earned tasty reward after your next session?

Don’t hang about, get the Christmas mugs out and get one of these on the go asap!

1. Classic High-Protein Hot Chocolate

Makes 1

Ingredients

* 500ml milk (Kirsty uses almond milk)

* 25g Impact Whey Protein (White Chocolate)

* 10g cocoa powder

* 1 tsp. sugar

Method

  1. First, add all of the ingredients to a blender and blitz until you get a smooth mixture.
  2. Now, pour the liquid into a pan and stir over a low/medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Be sure not to overheat or burn the mixture and make sure to stir to avoid lumps forming.
  3. Carefully pour the heated mixture into a mug, add any toppings of choice (these are completely optional), then enjoy!
