unflavored collagen AWFUL TASTE
1I bought the unflavored collagen protein and the smell and taste is absolutely NASTY it smells like rotten meat or a decompose dead animal. Would not recommend. I'm tempted on trying the chocolate flavor and see is as awful as the unflavored one.Goes Well With:not buying it

Very Unfortunate
1The taste and smell are just unbearable... I was really looking forward to adding this to my oatmeal in the morning so I bought the unflavoured one in hope that it won't compromise the taste (i add honey and cinnamon in my oats and don't like the taste of chocolate with it). Upon opening the package there was just this awful stink and i thought it will get better after you mix it in with some milk or water but it just got worse. Very dissapointed as I love all of the other ones (whey, isolate, clear..etc) so far and they all taste very good.

Beefy with a hint of rotting compost
2I have always used unflavoured collagen; this is the first I have encountered with such a pungent odor. Hoping it was all on the nose and my morning coffee would hide any lingering taste I mixed in a scoop... boy was I wrong! If you've ever wondered what a composting cow would taste like, this is it!Goes Well With:Fava beans and a good chianti

Your joints will thank you
5Other reviews have already gone into the taste and smell of this product. I had the unflavored version, and I won't lie it's not very appetizing. But I mix some with my regular chocolate smooth whey protein and it's perfectly fine. This product works, I noticed improvements in joint pain and mobility just days after starting it. Goes Well With:Chocolate protein

Good Nutritional Value and Price, Poor taste
4Milk based proteins often upset my stomach, and Collagen protein seemed like a good option for me. Didn't expect protein powder made from cow hides to taste good in the first place, but the chocolate flavouring definitely helped. Goes Well With:Good when mixed with milk (almond for me, lower calories), and I'll often eat it with a low calorie cereal which makes it almost like a dessert

Yuck!
3It's too early to determine the products efficacy, but the taste is incredibly awful...I mix it with orange juice and powdered vitamin C to help kill the taste and gag it down as fast as possible. The smell is like cow hoofs...I would recommend the chocolate flavor.Goes Well With:Cows tail.

It is what it is
5First time taking a collagen and wow, smells horrible and taste lingers. I mix mine with orange juice and it’s manageable. But I am seeking benefits not taste and smell. Product works great. Ive been using it for 2 weeks now and I swear by this stuff. I applauded MyProtein on a great product. if your seeking benefits I would definitely recommend this product. Goes Well With:Orange Juice

Listen to the bad reviews
1I usually stick to my favorite collagen. Over the last few years I've only ran into one other collagen that was as bad as this one. I went against my better judgment and ignored the bad reviews, I wish I hadn't. The smell I can look past, the taste I can't. I would hope they would listen to the bad reviews and pull this product, even if it's going to cost money. Glad I caught it at half off. Goes Well With:No idea and I'm not going to try and find out.

Taste bad, smell worst but....
4I use it every day! What people are expecting from dead cow skin? This is collagen with nothing else added. It smell and taste what it is! I make my morning shake half and half with vanilla protein and I add a few drops of "flavdrop", unsweeted cashew milk and ice. Taste really good!Goes Well With:Shake

This Collagen is Beyond Awful!
1The unflavored collagen smells like a combination of dog food factory and cow pen at the county fair. The bad news is that it tastes even worse! If you mix a 1/3 portion of the collagen with a lot of Gatorade, and then hold your nose while drinking, you can get through the experience. However, as soon as you start breathing again the taste lingers in your mouth and you will be tempted to cut off your tongue! I don't know about the chocolate collagen, but there are no words that properly describe how awful the unflavored version is. I can't believe that MP hasn't removed this product from its sales line-up. Goes Well With:Any drug or illness that completely eliminates one's sense of taste and smell!
