Chocolate collagen protein
5There's lots of reviews for the unflavored collagen but not many for the chocolate one so I thought I'd give it a try. It just arrived today and I thought I'd treat myself to a 'healthy hot chocolate' - and it didn't disappoint! It smells like hot chocolate and tastes like one too! Mixes well with warm milk, looking forward to trying it with coffee as well. Thumbs up, will order again.Goes Well With:milk, haven't tried water yet

5I tried the flavor protein for the first time and it was great! The unflavored (which works great) just had too much of an aftertaste. Goes Well With:Milk

Collagen Protein
5After trying out the product a few different ways and getting a feel for the texture, smell and taste I'd say this is well worth the money and effective value! I use this is protein bars and as a (paste) for my french toast and other baked goods. It does take a bit longer to mix but does mix well. The chocolate is the best flavor in my opinion and covers up and smell best as possible. It will inevitably have a weird odor and texture of jell or goo but that is covered up when eaten with food. The recovery and fullness are exceptional! Collagen is used as a meal replacement in many peoples diets and I can see why. Goes Well With:Mixes well with warm water to make paste or with ingredients to make pancakes. The consistency is comparable to pomegranate texture.

Effective and Definitely Compost Cow Flavored
5I wasn't really surprised when I read the reviews about the smell and taste of this. Collagen does wonders for my joints, and seeing that MP now offers a straightforward option I was already sold. This does smell and taste like a composted cow, yet the results can't be denied. I have severe joint issues and pain. While looking to replace my old supplement, I ran across this new offering from MP. After a few days without collagen I could feel it in my shoulders particularly. I've now been using the supplement for over a month. My joints feel amazing. I will be purchasing more today. The smell and taste is bad on its own. I purchased the unflavored option. I would not recommend mixing it in water or food. Juice and milk or milk substitutes tasted great. The added texture and thickness was very palatable and makes me feel more satiated. Orange juice and coconut milk were by far my favorite drinks to mix this in.Goes Well With:Orange juice and coconut milk

Dog farts
2The other reviews are accurate. This smells and tastes like dog farts. I’ve loved every product from myprotein. This is the only exception Goes Well With:Nothing

Smell/Taste
1Shipping was quick, customer service is great as always. But, the unflavored absolutely reeks and tastes just as bad (I mixed it with other powders and coffee). Just couldn’t get past smell or taste.Goes Well With:Unknown

unflavored collagen AWFUL TASTE
1I bought the unflavored collagen protein and the smell and taste is absolutely NASTY it smells like rotten meat or a decompose dead animal. Would not recommend. I'm tempted on trying the chocolate flavor and see is as awful as the unflavored one.Goes Well With:not buying it

Very Unfortunate
1The taste and smell are just unbearable... I was really looking forward to adding this to my oatmeal in the morning so I bought the unflavoured one in hope that it won't compromise the taste (i add honey and cinnamon in my oats and don't like the taste of chocolate with it). Upon opening the package there was just this awful stink and i thought it will get better after you mix it in with some milk or water but it just got worse. Very dissapointed as I love all of the other ones (whey, isolate, clear..etc) so far and they all taste very good.

Beefy with a hint of rotting compost
2I have always used unflavoured collagen; this is the first I have encountered with such a pungent odor. Hoping it was all on the nose and my morning coffee would hide any lingering taste I mixed in a scoop... boy was I wrong! If you've ever wondered what a composting cow would taste like, this is it!Goes Well With:Fava beans and a good chianti
