Warning: New protein snack coming through...

Zac Kerr, AKA @counting_zacros, is back again with another mouth-watering protein snack. This time he’s made crispy cinnamon protein twists with a white chocolate glaze.

With 13g of protein per twist, these are the perfect snack for when you hit that 3pm slump. There might be a few steps to this recipe, but the results are well worth it. Here’s how to make it.

Ingredients

Instructions

1.

Preheat the oven to 180C and lay out a baking sheet on your work surface.

2.

Add your Greek yoghurt, flour and baking powder to a mixing bowl and stir until a dough has been formed.

3.

Roll your dough out into a rectangle between two sheets of baking paper.

4.

Remove the top sheet of baking paper and spread a layer of maple syrup on top of the rolled-out dough and coat with the cinnamon and stevia.

5.

Cut into four equal long sections and flip the outer sections back in on the inner sections to create two cinnamon roll “sandwiches”.

6.

Grab a skewer and pierce the base of your sandwiches, then fold in the opposite direction and pierce again. Repeat this process until it’s twirled all the way to the top.

7.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 180C.

8.

While the twirls are baking, create the glaze by combining White Chocolate Whey, sweetener and almond milk in a ramekin and stirring until smooth.

9.

Once baked, allow to cool and enjoy.
