Used in sausage making as a binding agent to retain moisture, this is the reason I actually purchased this. Only place I could buy in quantity at a reasonable price. 1 cup of this in a 6 lb meatloaf instead of break crumbs, is amazing,
Goes Well With:
Meatloaf and for meatballs or sausages in place of other binding agents like bread crumbs.

A Worthwhile Product

-Short Story: great value, but avoid if you think that an unpleasant texture or flavor will be a hindrance. -Long Story: I bought this product because I'm lactose intolerant but find protein drinks to be a very convenient way to meet my daily protein quota. Not being a fan of artificial sweeteners, I bought the unflavored version, which I've found to have a strong soy flavor (no surprise there) that can be difficult to overpower. The powder is very chalky and difficult (but not impossible) to mix with water and lactose free/almond milk. Often if I don't drink fast enough residue will accumulate on the bottom of the shaker bottle. You cannot beat the price, as it is less expensive than regular whey protein and has more protein per serving than even whey isolate. I have read that unlike a lot of other vegan protein sources; soy is a complete protein, meaning that it contains meaningful amounts of the 9 essential amino acids.
Goes Well With:
I tend to mix it with Ovaltine and lactose-free milk.

This mixes a super smooth texture, and as far I could find, this powder has the most bang for the buck.

Best of all I’ve tried

I’ve tried various brands of whey, and all caused bloating. Some even caused light-headedness and dizziness. I’ve tried the other Myprotein vegan mixes and found them to be too grainy or powdery when mixed. I found the Myprotein unflavored soy to be pretty bad, vanilla good, and chocolate the best. I have it for both breakfast and lunch, and and a second scoop on strength training days. I’m lifting stronger than ever, walk in Florida 90-degree afternoon heat 5-10 mikes a day, and I’m 66. I’ve probably purchased maybe 40+ 5.5lb bags in the last 1.5 years.  I could not recommend the chocolate soy more emphatically. Best price is usually 50%, usually around major holidays, but I once stocked up at about 55% off. Best use: Vitamix, water, ice, chocolate soy protein, spinach/kale/cabbage, 1 carrot, wild berry mix or blueberries, tumeric, ginger, salt and pepper (for tumeric absorbtion), cinnamon, flax seed, Hershey’s dark cocoa, plus stevia. 64oz. (Plenty of liquid for hydration).  Just excellent taste that I look forward to each time.

So far so good

It’s a pretty good protein powder, and legit one of the best, if not the best in terms of value. If you take into the account the amount of dollars/oz you’re spending on this as opposed to other plant based or regular protein powders then you’re getting the best bang for your buck down to the very cent. On top of that, there’s a sale on the website like 60% of the time so you’re saving even more money.

I was looking to replace TJ's Vanilla Soy and found this product on web search. I like that it is not per-sweetened and very little filler. It down grades for mixability but ALL proteins clump. Solid protein. AND it is relatively inexpensive. I will buy more.
Goes Well With:
Frozen fruit!

Fantastic as an ingredient in recipes

The unflavored stuff is pretty terrible on its own but works really well in oatmeal and baked goods. It does NOT turn grainy when cooked unlike Whey. It's also much easier to digest unlike Whey (aka no protein farts). I'm not vegan but I love stuff. Cheap, high protein content, great amino profile and easy on my system.
Goes Well With:
Oatmeal, milkshakes, baked cookies.
