These are perfect if you are looking for a little help gripping on a heavy pull day at the gym. I bought the hooks for deadlifts to see if they would help in my later sets of deadlift. The hooks do not get all the way around a barbell so it felt like the barbell is about to fall out of the hooks. I pull sumo so if i drop 500 lbs on my toes, I am toast. But I have used the hooks for some of my other lifts like pulldowns and rows, and when your grip is torched, these are awesome for letting you just focus on squeezing your back and not worrying about your grip. Great product, do not use for deadlifts.
