Dr. Ishrat worked for the NHS supporting and supervising students and doctors in training. She has experience in general practice, mental health, and women’s health, and has completed a diploma in Women’s Health (obstetrics and gynaecology) as well as a PGCert in medical education and leadership. Dr. Ishrat is also a perinatal GP champion which means she offers specialist support to people who are struggling with their mental health for the first time and people who have seen existing mental health problems exacerbated by pregnancy or parenthood. Working across Greater Manchester, she delivers education and training sessions to improve knowledge and understanding of mental health and provides free access to face-to-face support.
