⭐ Long-Term Review: Alpha Men Multivitamin (Myprotein) — My Experience Since 2009
I’ve been using Alpha Men Multivitamin from Myprotein since way before it became the global brand it is today — back when Myprotein was still a name mainly recognized in the UK and their product line was much smaller and simpler. Having every bottle design and having tried every formula since 2009, I’ve seen this multivitamin evolve more than most people realize. The Early Days (2009–2012): The Classic Formula I still remember the original formula, long before the amino acids and botanical blends were added. It was a straightforward, no-nonsense multivitamin focused on the essentials — the kind of product bodybuilders and gym-goers appreciated because it wasn’t trying to be flashy. No added amino acids A cleaner ingredient list Strong basics: B-vitamins, minerals, antioxidants Very budget-friendly And the old packaging — simple, minimal, almost clinical Back then, it felt like a true “performance daily nutrient pack,” and I always liked how it supported overall energy and recovery without trying to be overly complicated. The Transition Years: Small Tweaks and Bigger Goals As Myprotein started gaining traction outside the UK, Alpha Men got a series of updates: Refinements in dosages Additions like herbal extracts Better capsule quality More premium look and branding Some changes were clear improvements in terms of coverage and value, while others took the formula in a direction that felt more “mass market” than the original hardcore gym supplement. Still, it remained consistent in the basics: high levels of essential vitamins and minerals and dependable daily support. The Modern Formula: A More Complete Lifestyle Multivitamin Today’s Alpha Men is a much more sophisticated product. With ingredients like: Calcium & Vitamin D for bone health Selenium and biotin Vitamin B5 for mental performance Energizing natural extracts for everyday wellbeing It’s become a multivitamin that works not only for athletes but for anyone juggling training, work, and a busy life. It’s definitely more comprehensive than the original formula, and the added extracts give it a noticeable boost in overall vitality — especially on training days. What Has Stayed Consistent All These Years After using Alpha Men for more than a decade, through redesigns, formula upgrades, and Myprotein’s massive global expansion, a few things have remained consistent: Reliable daily energy Better recovery during heavy training periods Strong baseline nutrition Great value for money Trust in the brand from firsthand long-term experience Final Verdict Alpha Men Multivitamin has been my go-to supplement for 15+ years, and I’ve seen it evolve from a simple UK-only gym essential into a fully developed multivitamin designed for modern lifestyles. While I have a soft spot for the old, cleaner formula without the added amino acids, I can honestly say the current version offers broader benefits and feels like a complete wellbeing supplement. If you want a multivitamin backed by years of consistency and real-world results, Alpha Men remains one of the best long-term choices out there.

OG Better
They need to go back to the original formula, hate having to take 4 pills verse 2, achieve the same thing. But to me it is not the same as the OG

New formula is a definite downgrade
The previous Alpha Men vitamins - prior to 2026 - were a terrifc, odorless, high quality, affordable daily vitamin. The new capsules are the opposite. Big disappointment.

Downgraded version
The new bottle is lacking so many good nutrients that the old one had. New one doesn't have super food blend, reduced elements in the bioactive blend and Amino acid blend, Molybdenum, Boron, Vanadium, Inositol, etc. @MyProtein - please, if you want to retain your customers and their trust, bring back the old composition.

Not a fan of the new changes
Just received my order of alpha men multivitamin, previously i ordered a bottle of 120 tablets which was 60 servings, my new bottle came as 120 capsules which is only 30 servings. Overall it appears most vitamin quantities have been reduced so I'm having to take twice as many capsules (which are approx. the same size as the tablets) for a smaller quantity of vitamins and half the number of servings per bottle. They have also removed the superfood complex in favor of packing in about 7 times the amount of amino acids that were in the tablets. To summarize, I'm getting half the servings, less vitamins, no superfood complex and way more amino acids. I am not buying my multivitamins for my amino acid supplimentation, that is what an amino acid suppliment is for. Not a fan of the changes, i will be looking for a new multivitamin complex. I've been buying alpha men for years and I'm pretty dissapointed.

Loved the old one, won't buy again until you fix it
Came back for the Alpha Men with added support and superfood blend. Looks like this replacement has a terrible profile. Really bummed won't buy until you fix it. Don't try to fix what ain't broke! Also, this is a multi not an amino supplement. We all get our amino's elsewhere!

Not for daily usage
I’ve been a long-time customer of MyProtein and I genuinely like many of their products, especially their protein powders. The quality and value there have always been good for me. However, my experience with this vitamin complex was unfortunately not positive. The formula contains relatively high doses of several micronutrients (particularly zinc and some other minerals), and after a short period of use I started experiencing digestive issues — mainly constipation and general gastrointestinal discomfort. Once I stopped taking the product, those symptoms gradually resolved. Of course, everyone reacts differently to supplements, but in my case the doses seem to be too aggressive for daily use. Multivitamins should ideally support the body rather than overload it, especially when taken regularly. I still appreciate MyProtein as a brand and will continue using their protein products, but personally I would not recommend this particular vitamin complex for everyday supplementation, especially for people with sensitive digestion.

Downgraded product
Significant downgrade in the product vs what was previously sold. 4 capsules per serving?! And key nutrients are left out now and replaced by amino acids?!

Low Quality and leaked copsules, not recommended
I’ve been using this multivitamin for many years and always trusted the quality, but this most recent batch was a huge disappointment. The capsules were very low quality—many had powder leaking inside the capsule, and there was an unpleasant, stinky smell. On top of that, the recommended dose has increased to 4 capsules per day, which feels excessive and unnecessary. This experience completely broke my trust in the product. This will be my last time purchasing it, and unfortunately I can no longer recommend it to anyone.
