It’s alright

I got the unflavored version after reading a few bad reviews regarding the taste of the flavored powders. Nutrition-wise, it gets the job done and helps pack a good amount of calories. The texture is a bit grainy and the powder isn’t super easy to mix. Taste is pretty bad but you shouldn’t buy it if you’re worried about the flavor. It kind of resembles an unflavored oatmeal. All in all, this blend does what it’s supposed to.

Night and day difference you're hardgainer

I was struggling to stay over 150 (I'm 5'9") even while eating a couple extra meals a day. I switched to this stuff from the pure protein and I gained 7 pounds in the first week. Never tried flavored because I don't like those types of sweeteners. I just add a tiny bit of chocolate milk to whole milk with two scoops. Gets a little chunky at the end but it gets the job done. No issues with flavor. I actually like it.

Worst tasting protein ever!

I have been going to the gym for a long time now and I always have a protein shake after my workout. So I’ve had a fair share of protein powders. This is by far the worst protein powder I’ve ever bought. The vanilla flavor is super overpowering and very fake tasting. It’s also super gritty which makes it hard to put down. I do not recommend getting this unless you don’t have taste buds!

Mixes fine, but vanilla is too strong

Personally, I think the vanilla flavoring is waaay too prominent for my taste. My smoothie consists of: 1/2 cup oats 1/2 cup berries 2 spoonfuls of greek yogurt 1/2 cup milk some water and a few ice cubes, but after pouring in only 2 scoops, (the default serving is 3 scoops of powder) the vanilla flavoring SEVERELY overwhelmed all the other flavors in the drink for my taste. I couldn't even finish my smoothie due to how strong the vanilla flavor was lol Unless you're a vanilla-fanatic, I'd recommend going with the unflavored powder. I hope this helps someone.
Goes Well With:
Maybe mix with chocolate protein powder or flavoring. A 1:2 vanilla to chocolate scoop ratio should be fine.

The old formula taste and mixes way better. The minute I tried this one I knew something was different. It almost has a spicy taste to it which is so weird

Don't get Strawberry

The strawberry cream flavor is horrible. It is cloyingly sweet and very artificial-tasting. I don't understand the need to megadose on Splenda; it's revolting. Go with the chocolate smooth flavor--much more palatable. Product mixes surprisingly well with water in a 24 oz shaker but you have to give it a minute for the oat flour to absorb the water and gelatinize. Functionally the product gets the job done as a mass builder but you may need to use more scoops than you think. Also great for long-haul road trips.

3 scoops per serving

Didn’t check the serving size but I guess I should have expected to need to use a lot of scoops to get my protein target. The 9 scoops to get 90 grams of protein won’t fit in my blender.

Taste fine, but the texture...

Overall:

This stuff taste better than most brands I've tried BUT the texture is so unpleasant. It has a chalky feel and if you don't keep it well shaken, it will settle. If you can make it paste the chalky texture then you'll be fine. Other than that I have no complaints!!
Goes Well With:
For me personally, I'd rather mix it with milk instead of water. Helps with the texture a bit.

Weight Gainer Blend unflavored

5
Overall:

This is the best gainer I've tried. I prefer it because they offer the unflavored and it doesn't seem to have a bunch of junk in it. I understand a lot of people enjoy the flavors, but personally if I'm eating(drinking) the same thing every day, I get tired/sick of the flavorings companies add. 16oz Whole milk and 100g of this stuff is a great way to get some cals in. My only complaint: It seems the nutritional facts have been changing back and forth on the labels. The bag I have lists serving size of 3 scoops(not 3 1/3), The bag I had before had the 3 1/3 serving size. Anyhow, it makes accurately measuring macros a little bit of an unknown when it keeps changing, even if only a little.

Effective and delicious with the right recipe!

Bought the gainer blend in chocolate, seeing results after consistent consumption (consistent for me is 5 days a week). I've been taking half the recommended daily portion and I'm up 5lbs in one month (with an extremely fast metabolism). I haven't had issues with mixability like mentioned in other reviews, however, I use a Ninja Blender when making my shakes. To the 3 scoops of powder I add: 1.5c water, 1 avocado, 6 ice cubes, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, pinch of himalayan salt (adjust water for desired thickness). Makes 2 servings of luscious smoothie that tastes like dessert! Would buy again or try the Extreme Gainer Blend.
Goes Well With:
Water, avocado, ice, maple syrup, cinnamon, banana, nut butters, tahini, coconut water
