Flavor is great! The texture isn’t ideal, a little icier than regular ice cream. But for macros, you can’t complain. Just be careful that you’re using the amount right because it says 2.5 scoops is a serving, but it’s really only 1.5 if you look at the gram amount. Shake it up like a protein shake, pour it into a bowl, freeze it for a day, let it thaw for a little, and you got a good healthy desert!
I bought the vanilla cookie dough flavor and ended up throwing away the bag because it was unbearable. If you want a protein-based dessert somewhat like ice cream, mix protein powder with peanut butter and anything else based on preference and put in freezer. Love this site but this product is a complete flop.
As other reviewers have stated, this is not even close to as good as a halo top or other low cal, high protein ice cream. Maybe it's the slush texture or the artificial tasting sweetness, but I'm now stuck with a bag that I really don't think I'll use. The only pro is that it does have a decent amount of protein per serving - the vanilla cookie dough I got has 31 per 2.5 scoops. Honestly, given the choice between this and straight up whey, I prefer just making a nice isolate shake to satisfy my sweet tooth.Goes Well With:??
So I tried 3 flavors and 2 different preparations: I thought you Bros out there might benefit from my conclusion. Strawberry 7/10 Cookie vanilla cookie dough 8/10 Salted caramel : solid 9/10 Texture : definitely not Halo top creamy . More like a slushy or snow flake, snow cone with a touch of cream. Prep: 50 g shaker mixed with low cal almond milk. Pour into container. Freezer overnight, and 10-20 sec in the microwave to thaw . Slush, mix and enjoy. I tried blending a banana to give it more creaminess but it doesn't work. Possibly more achievable creaminess with other modes of liquid. But almond milk has been decent. Pretty easy to mix in your own fillers . Sprinkles, chocolate chips , etc. Add toppings a la Frozen yogurt. Or eat it as is- pretty nice sweet tooth fix.
Taste is way too sweet. Texture isn’t great. Takes forever to melt enough to eat. I even microwaved it once for 30 seconds and the middle was still frozen solid.
Great product!! The vanilla cookie dough taste so good I've stopped using regular whey protein, I just use this for everything. Be careful on the chocolate as it taste so so but would highly recommend the cookie doughGoes Well With:everything lol. People laugh when I tell them I mainly eat ice cream, pancakes and waffles
