Descent macros, OK tasting

These protein brownies are very dense, but what do you expect from a small protein-packed square? For 23g protein, 9g fat, and 4g of sugar, I don't feel heavy or tired when I lift, and I tend to lift after all classes are over. I am stuck on campus taking classes for about 5 hours each day, and sometimes it will be longer if I have meetings or choose to stay and study. Instead of paying for expensive on-campus foods, or for deliveries from restaurants that skimp on the protein and load up the carbs and fats, I eat before I head to class, and i'll bring a packed lunch from home, including this brownie. Coming from somebody who loves eating, has a major sweet tooth, and who isn't picky at all, this brownie is honestly NOT the best tasting, but it's really not so bad. I will gladly finish the rest of my box, and mayyybeeee will purchase again. It's not very sweet and it's not chewy like most protein bars are (I would say it's just a little denser than a quest bar). But if you want a quick, small snack on the go that is high in protein and won't make you feel heavy or groggy, I do recommend this! It gives me a good boost of energy when I lift immediately after classes. However, if you are a picky person and are weird about textures, then I do not recommend this.

Goes Well With:

Milk, bananas, walnuts

I ordered one box of these and I'm glad I didn't get a 2nd box. I tried microwaving them which helped a little, but not much. My batch was fairly hard to eat without microwaving because they were so dense and dry. I would recommend getting double chocolate chip cookies instead (if they're in stock).

Goes Well With:

Milk/water. These are so dry it's mandatory.

These brownies make for a great tasting protein based snack, they are nice and not too sickly or sweet, these make for a great alternative to the full fat sugar laden versions and can fit into a range of diets.

Great taste. High protein. Low cost. What's not to love? I always take it with a greek yogurt on the side to get 40g of protein.

Bought these hoping to have an alternative to bars. The macros seemed within reason but the taste was disappointing. After trying the first, I put the remainder away. There was little chocolate taste. The brownie was heavy. It was not really chewy per say, but was difficult to eat. Maybe just dry in the mouth. Not really worth the 300 calories toward my daily limits.

Goes Well With:

Might try breaking it up and using as an ingredient in something. Would serve as protein rich filler.

I like the taste and texture of the brownies. Negatives include the price (somewhat high) and the less than highest quality ingredients for the price. I more or less rationalize the ingredients because I like the taste and do not overindulge.

Goes Well With:

I eat as an inbetween meal snack or supplement to a meal with less protein than I feel I need.

Cattle feed? Dog treats?

This is a review of the MyProtein Protein Brownie (12 - 2.65oz), Chocolate. I can see how other reviewers likened the taste of this product to cattle feed and doggie treats. At room temperature, it does taste a lot like sweetened cardboard. Microwaving it improves the taste. Still not quite up to "average", but edible. If you have time stomaching this product, I'd suggest trying it warmed up. Others have suggested trying it with a glass of milk. The nutritional label on the box says that each bar is 310 calories. That's the other negative thing that I see about this product. It's a bit high on the caloric count, compared to other protein bars on the market.

I'm a busy guy and I get just about as many of my calories from bars and shakes as I do from "real" food. I've tried just about every protein bar, cookie, brownie, and pudding out there. This one is definitely amongst my favorites. It is much drier than a bakery brownie. It's also much healthier. I have found that heating it up for a few seconds (or leaving in my hot car) gives it a more dessert like texture if you're looking for that. If you're like me, you're looking for a convenient way to get your nutritional needs met that is also tasty. This fits the bill well!

It should be effective, has a great load of protein...but as is, the taste is not that great. It is really quite "dry" and compact for a brownie. Maybe it would be better with a bit of milk

These are a very decent brownie for the protein and "health" behind it. If you want an actual brownie and are going to Compare the 2, then just eat a regular brownie.!! Question, there are only chocolate available, yet people post about Blondies and other flavors. Where can we find these? I'd like to try others.

This is how I imagine cattle feed tastes but I may buy it again. I understand this isn't Gordon Ramsey's protein brownie, but they should at least try to trick us into thinking it tastes good with some bs frosting swirled on top like the other guys are doing. Keep up the good work.

The white chocolate brownies are very good. Even better when cold! The chocolate has the same problem with all myprotein chocolate products where they just taste off.... The chocolate would be a 2-3 star taste rating.

These are pretty good. They aren't the best tasting Protein Bar, but NOT the Worst. I mean it is a protein bar, but I prefer shakes anyways so I might be kind of biased.

These people writing reviews are clearly morons. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOEY BROWNIE YOU SEE POSTED ON YOUR FACEBOOK FEED. It's a protein bar. A delicious one at that. Clearly the people writing bad reviews have never tasted a big 100 bar or many other repulsive bars out there. I'm so glad I took a chance on these. I first tried the blondie bars after reading negative reviews on the chocolate ones and those were good. This time I got the chocolate brownies which are fantastic. The brownies taste better than the cookies in my opinion but the cookies aren't bad at all.

These brownies taste like dog treats i wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Shared with a couple of friends and they couldn't even eat half of a brownie. Just ended up throwing away 80 dollars worth of brownies and MYPROTEIN Erased my previous review. If youre still interested just end up buying 1 box just so you can taste for yourself. Dollar store protein bars tasted better says a lot about their brownies.
