What is Instant Oats?
Instant Oats are a source of Scottish Oats, supplied in a fine powder easily mixable with protein powders or just water to be consumed by alone. Instant oats are an easy form of carbohydrate to add to your shakes to increase calorie count or add a slow digesting carbohydrate to act as a meal replacement or suppress appetite for longer.
Benefits of Instant Oats
Bodybuilders and athletes look to consume a low GI carbohydrate with a good protein source as a meal approximately 5-6 times per day. This can become very time consuming and expensive to buy carbohydrate sources, however instant oats are very convenient as can be added to shakes and consumed in liquid form. In comparison to fast digesting high GI carbohydrates like Maltodextrin and dextrose, instant oats is slow digesting and low GI content.

Add 5-9oz of water or milk into our shaker (the less liquid the thicker the shake will be). Then add 2 heaped MP large scoops (100g), shake and consume. Use 1-3 times daily or as required.

Please note this nutritional information is taken from the unflavored version. When choosing a flavored version it will reduce the protein content by approximately 3% for most flavors, however chocolate, due to the added cocoa, will reduce it by approximately 8%.

I bought 2 bags of the chocolate smooth after trying the unflavored bags because they were out of stock on the unflavored. The chocolate smooth is EXTEMELY hard to BLEND alone with water. The mixability is a huge factor when buying powders because the last thing you want is the powder getting stuck to the sides of the blender or just NOT blending at all until you keep adding more and more water. On the other hand, I would give the unflavored 5 stars all the way since it mixes and tastes great in a smoothie. I have used cocoa powder before so I know that's not responsible for the clumping so it seems it's the added sugar and sucralose that gives it a very "sticky" and thick mixability.
Instant oats is good for what it's worth, the mixing is clumpy tho. Needs tons of water to mix better.Goes Well With:Water.
my wife and I bought the vanilla oats 2 pound bag to mix with are chocolate smooth whey isolate that was great but didn't last we had to get 11pound unflavored oats it helps keep us full during workout over sometimes it some of don't mix but that's ok I ordered another 11 pound bag of it.Goes Well With:chocolate smooth protein water milk almond milk
I got the unflavored and chocolate and both are simple and clean with the chocolate having a hot cocoa type of taste to it, easy to add to protein powders or standalone just for the added calories or in between meals fill up.Goes Well With:Any type of existing powder supps
So I've bought the oats a few times. They taste pretty good, fill me up, and give you a bunch of carbs right after your workout which is awesome. However, MyProtein has hands down some of the best customer service ever. I had a package of mine stolen from my apartment, I contacted MyProtein and they replaced the stolen contents free of charge. Part of me thought when i opened the bag, that they were going to be whole oats, which they are not. They are powdered oats and they taste pretty good and are cheap, Plus MyProtein ships to APO win win winGoes Well With:iso my protein rocky road to give it a bit more thickness
I received my first pouch of Instant Oats today and just made my first shake and am very pleased with this product. I ordered the unflavored version and found that it mixes well in a blender with unflavored almond milk, and together they have a pleasant taste. I ordered this product because at the end of each day I regularly still have 20-50 grams of carbs left to meet my macros and I don't always want to cook up something so being able to make a shake with a low GI carb source is very helpful. Good taste but do remember to thoroughly clean out the mixer other wise there will be a thick residue left behind. That comes with its own distinct odor.

These oats were just what I was looking for. Before I came across these, I would have to grind oats myself to make them powdered to have them mix well with my shake. Pros: makes it easy to get hella calories with complex carbs for bulking Great for on the go Doesn't leave you feeling stuffed or bloated Mixes well with other powders to the point where you can vaguely taste it Doesn't give you horrible stomach pains Very cheap Literally unintentionally curves your hunger for fast foods and will kind of make you want to eat it because of the positive effects it has on your body The restroom stops are very solid and cleansing with all the fiber btw lol Con's: if not shaken or blended enough you will get lumps and the oatmeal lumps are grosssss But besides that the packaging where the seal is at the top often gets powder in it and then the seal becomes very inconsistent with its ability to close. Getting in calories can be a pain especially during a bulk. I usually blend my Quaker oats as a quick way to get calories in. Instant oats is an even easier and convenient way to get in extra calories. I hate stuffing my face so just chugging down some calories without filling full is perfect. Well you might think mass gainers does the same thing but mass gainers are filled with simple sugars unlike this product right here. I definitely recommend this for anyone who needs an easy way to get in extra calories. One downside is the artificial flavoring (unless you are getting the unflavored), it would be a whole lot better if it was naturally flavored and thus i would not recommend it as a staple but as and when you are not able to meet your calorie count or simply need a quick and easy meal.
