Our strict supplier-selection guidelines, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, and quality control processes guarantee our products are the best on the market.
Strict supplier selection
We select our suppliers based on a rigid multi-criteria framework, which ensures we only work with the very best companies.
Sedex membership is also an important part of this – they’re an organisation dedicated to ethical and responsible business practices.
Working closely with them allows us to check that our internal requirements are being fulfilled by all partners upstream in our global supply chain.
We’ve invested in state-of-the-art machinery to deliver a world-class manufacturing facility considered the best in Europe, resulting in the following accreditations:
- British Retail Consortium – AA Grade for Food Safety
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- ISO9001 Accredited
Independently audited and reviewed against a third-party standard, our certification scheme goes above and beyond legal requirements, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), demonstrating our commitment to continued quality improvement.
Industry-leading food safety equipment
Our investment in machinery extends to:
Finished goods end-of-line X-ray machines, which reject 100% of products containing foreign bodies as small as 2.5mm
Our tamper-proof pouches pass through a roller system – flattening all before use
All powders pass through a 3mm sieve within our filling lines
Our production line is monitored by CCTV, and additional visual checks are also carried out on each product before they are packed to ensure there are no rips or tears.
Rigorous testing and quality control
Our investment in state-of-the-art machinery ensures we can continually deliver quality products.
We rigorously test every single ingredient and finished good with two FT-NIR (Near-Infrared) machines.
Every single Myprotein product meets the stringent quality attributes and label claims on pack.
We also use cutting-edge Electronic Nose and Electronic Tongue testing to ensure that we are 100% confident in the quality of our products.
Anything out of our required specification is rejected, and this is verified using our independent UKAS accredited partner, ALS.

Our mission is to reduce emissions, and ultimately decrease our own environmental impact, as much and as often as possible.
We make every effort to maximise the use of recycled and recyclable materials in our production process, as well as minimise packaging waste across our business.
Zero to landfill
We reduce our environmental impact through our ‘zero to landfill’ policy – all our waste goes to recycling facilities or to RDF (refuge derived fuel).
We will always will continue to support this, as well as working to further reduce the environmental impact of other areas of our business.
Our environmental focus
We’ve recently expanded our product range into numerous new categories, including focusing on plant-based products.
We will continue to roll-out new and innovative alternatives to animal-based supplements due to customer demand.
There are now a large number of products in our range that contain zero animal substances – improving general animal welfare and helping to reduce toxic emissions.
Our people and the environment
We help our staff to reduce their carbon footprint daily through simple measures such as encouraging them to car share or cycle to work.
We have a business-wide rule of reading documents on-screen instead of printing physical copies, unless strictly necessary.

Contributing to the North West
We’re proud to be based in the North West of the United Kingdom, and we currently have 1,200 staff members.
In the past 2 years, we have created more than 500 jobs in and around the Cheshire/Manchester area, and we will continue to recruit hundreds more.
Contributing to charity
Myprotein colleagues regularly participate in events that help to raise money for local charities.
In 2017, our employees took part in two gruelling sporting activities – a non-stop treadmill challenge and a 24-hour football marathon.
This raised over £45,000 for the Street Soccer Academy – a charity that specialises in the rehabilitation and reintegration of people with complex needs through sports-based education programmes.
We have an unparalleled fraud team in place that utilises technology developed at the forefront of the fight against fraud, including adaptive behavioural analytics.
Our team is able to quickly identify suspicious orders, which are then reviewed by an operational team of seasoned fraud and cyber investigators.
We operate globally across THG on all sites, which gives us a unique global perspective of fraud, and allows us to put adequate fraud prevention measures in place.
