protein sources are absorbed faster than others (*1), (*2). This can be
especially important for periods when the body is hungry for nutrients (eg:
just right after workout). Fast release protein, such as whey and beef
hydrolysates, allows for a rapid delivery of the nutrients to the cells.
Other protein sources, such casein and milk,
are absorbed more slowly, allowing for a gradual release of amino acids into
the bloodstream. This type of protein is more indicated for periods on
which the body will be several hours without receiving any food (eg: during
forgotten vegetarians and people intolerant to certain foods and nutrients.
