High-Protein Dessert Recipe | Chocolate Coconut Protein Mug Cake

When the need for cake and chocolate hits and you don’t want to destroy all clean eating efforts, this recipe will satisfy that craving and more!

Mug Cake Ingredients


  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Impact Whey Protein
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 Tbs Coconut Flour
  • 20ml Coconut Milk
  • 1 Tsp Coconut oil
  • 10g Cacao Buttons
  • Sprinkle of desiccated Coconut

Mug Cake Recipe

  1. To a mug add the egg, protein powder, coconut flour, coconut oil and milk
  2. Mix thoroughly and place in the microwave for 1-1 ½ minutes
  3. To a separate pot add the cacao buttons and melt in the microwave for until smooth
  4. Pour the melted cacao over the protein mug cake and sprinkle with shredded coconut
