If you like dry roasted/salted peanuts give these BBQ Chickpeas a try – they are super simple to make and contain a third of the fat and calorie content than dry roasted peanuts.
– 1 Can Chickpeas
– Table salt and pepper
– Smoked Paprika or BBQ Powder
a) Firstly start by draining the can of chickpeas, pour the drained chickpeas on a baking paper lined tray and sprinkle with salt and pepper, please in the oven on 150oC for 40 minutes
b) Next remove the tray from the oven and lightly drizzle the chickpeas with honey then sprinkle with the BBQ Powder and roll around the tray to allow the honey to pick up all the spices.
c) Lastly add more salt and pepper and place back in the oven on 170oC for 10-15 minutes until they are hard to touch.
Allow to cool and store in an air tight container for up to 5-7 days!
