Burn Fat On A Busy Schedule

For many people our days are filled with too many things to do and not enough time to do it all. Making time to go to the gym or simply working out can be difficult due to a lack of time. Although many people will say you need to make the time, this is not always a simple thing to do. So how does someone lose weight or burn fat when they are super busy and have very limited time ? The first thing to do is take just make a few minor adjustments to your everyday routine that most of us do already.

? Healthy Coffee

For starters, if you are a coffee drinker, let’s try changing up how you order and drink your coffee. A standard cup of black coffee has zero calories in it. Let’s say you add some cream and sugar and now you have 80 calories in it. 2 cups of coffee a day and you have drunk 160 calories in seconds. Try drinking your coffee black and cut back those 80-160 calories. If you dislike the taste of black coffee, avoid the creamer and try adding a sugar free sweetener like Sweet N Low or something else. Otherwise, if you need your standard sweetener and sugar, skip the sugar and substitute your sweetener for coconut oil. Although its higher in calories it’s a healthy fat source and also helps your skins oils.


? Eat Breakfast

Eat breakfast every morning, even if you aren’t hungry! Don’t have time for breakfast as many people will say? Prepare something the night before that you can just remove from the fridge and eat or reheat in a microwave and consume in under 5 minutes. Prepare a meal such as overnight oats or protein pancakes and place in the fridge overnight so in the morning you can quickly eat your meal in a few short minutes before heading out the door.

There really is no excuse to skip breakfast. It takes hardly anytime to eat a bowl of cereal in the morning or how about having Instant Oats as a shake mixed with milk or water. Just one serving (30 g) of instant oats will provide you with 21 g of slow releasing, healthy carbs to fuel your morning.

By eating breakfast every morning, not only will you have more energy throughout the day, but you’ll be less likely to feel hungry later on and potentially risk binge eating at lunch or snacking on something you shouldn’t.

? Healthy Snacks

Snacks! We all love snacks and, if you’re like me, you usually want a few each day. Instead of when you are feeling a little hungry and resorting to consuming a protein bar, granola bar, or a candy bar of choice which all contain anywhere from 200-600 calories with high amounts of sugars and carbs, try switching things up. No matter where you go its super easy and convenient to keep some fresh fruit on hand.

Try packing an apple, orange, or a banana or something of that nature with you every day. When you are waiting for your next meal or lunch to come about, eat your fruit before lunch to help suppress your appetite. Usually I’ve found the best time for me to eat my fruit or snack is when I’m far from being hungry. Say I ate breakfast and I won’t be eating lunch until noon, but its 10am and I’m not hungry at all yet, I’ve found that by eating some fruit at this time is the best because it suppresses my appetite for longer.

If you are someone who eats out for lunch this will be a huge benefit for your diet because instead of wanting a burger, fries and a soda you won’t be as hungry so you’ll probably skip on the fries and save yourself 300 calories and lots of carbs and sugars or so. Simple healthy snacks at the right time can be a game changer when it comes to burning fat.

? Meal Prep

Lastly I recommend to prepare dinner the morning of as you are getting ready for work. The use of a slow cooker or crock pot can be a lifesaver when dieting. Heat up a small amount of canola oil in the pot, place your lean meat of choice and some veggies in it. Add some red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp of a light, low calorie rum or whiskey, and some fresh bay leaves or basil. Place on a low heat setting and within 6-8 hours your dinner will be completely cooked and ready to serve. If you have a crockpot that has the “keep warm” setting to switch too right after the cooking process is complete, this will be one of the best diet and weight loss routines you can switch too.

You can also use the weekend to prepare your meals for the week and place them in the freezer, so you always have something to eat making you less likely to order a takeaway or put a pizza in the oven when you don’t feel like cooking.
