At the end of the day, it’s You v.s. You! I’ve made exercise part of my daily & weekly routine. So many people say they don’t have time, but if it’s important you’ll make time. At first I would squeeze in workouts whenever I could, spending quite a few early mornings and late nights in the gym. Now the gym is where I go to unwind, and in my mind an hour’s workout is only 4% of your day. Once you get in the habit of going regularly it becomes natural to include exercise as part of your day.

I love a challenge and it’s so much easier to stay motivated if you’ve set yourself a goal. This is why I compete. I want to know that when I stand on stage I worked as hard as I could have and didn’t cut corners to really push my body to the max of what it can physically achieve. It’s hard work, but actually succeeding at something you’ve set out to do feels amazing. Not everyone wants to go that extreme, so pick a goal and a date that’s important to you, a wedding, holiday, event… focus on the end result not what you have to go through to get there, stay motivated and keep going.
